The Axis Building is designed by the architects Meixner Schlüter Wendt. The architects chose Product Line EXYD-M for the ceiling of the side corridors on the entrance floor.

The ceiling is illuminated by spotlights – the ceiling panels act as rippled reflectors and generate light patterns on the walls. See photos above.

EXYD-M's wavy surface can be thought of as a series of collecting and diffuser lenses: the collecting lenses focus the light onto the walls, the diffuser lenses spread out the light over the walls and increase the contrast of the light pattern. See also caustic.

Furniture manufacturer and interior fitters Schumann developed the ceiling system, fabricated the panels and carried out the installation.
