In the heart of Stockholm, between the central station and the city hall, a new building complex has been erected – the Stockholm Waterfront.
The complex consists of a congress centre with seating for 3,000, a four-star hotel and a 12-storey office block – called Waterfront Building.
The six-metre high reception hall of the office block (Waterfront Building) was fitted with an individually designed metal ceiling (Photo above Michael Perlmutter, 2010).
The designed stainless steel ceiling is bordered by walls, made out of copper, glas and marble.

EXYD developed the surface design for the ceiling based on the crackled effect on the surface of a half-frozen lake (above left) and produced the panels.
The ceiling substructure came from Lindner; their well-proven hook-on system LMD-E 213 was used. Later on the EXYD design of the panels was adopted into their surface line TOUCHdesign. The polished raw material came from Inox-Color. The ceiling panels were fitted by the Swedish locally based company INTEROC.
